About SlappShell

Over A Decade in the Making

SlappShell is a project that's the result of over a decade of entrepereneurial experience in projects that have included journalism & content publishing, e-commerce, SEO & digital marketing, custom software development, local services, and even handmade surfboard fin manufacturing.

Because of all that, I've faced all sorts of the challenges that come with launching, managing, and scaling a small business. And there's one thing that all of these ventures have had in common: the need for a solid website and digital infastructure that does what I need it to do without the bloat, complexity, and high costs that come with most SaaS platforms & plugins.

Most of my projects all share a simlar mix of the same core requirements that I know I'll need to run and scale it including:

  • Solid technical SEO and information architecture with the proper support for on-page SEO elements.
  • Reliable analytics and coversion tracking.
  • Security, speed, and responsive design.
  • Order, product, service, and customer management.
  • Email automation.

Before SlappShell, each project launch began with the same tedious and clunky process of piecing together multiple plugins, fusing around with settings, custom CSS, and god-awful page builders, and then getting a new license or subscription for each new tool or service the project needed. For larger projects, it was a nightmare to manage, and it got expensive fast.

But, my projects were profitable and the clunky system was working. Until they weren't and it wasn't...

To get back on track, I needed a better solution that would allow me to launch fast with the features I needed with as little overhead as possible.

And so, an internal version of SlappShell was born. A lean, modern, resuable, and extendable platform that I could easily adapt to each new project.

Now, after much refinement and improvement, I'm happy to share a growing suite of SlappShell products with small business owners, developers, and entrepreneurs like myself who need a better way to launch faster, manage efficiently, and scale their business.

This is the way

  • Get to your project's first dollar faster.
  • Strong foundations built for scale.
  • Focus on what actually matters.
  • Reduce overhead, eliminate bloat, ditch the services you don't need.
  • Launch, iterate, grow.
